A Checklist of Stadiums Recently Built by B&G

Beijinghas won the bid for hosting 2022 Winter Olympic Games  and becomes the focus of the world.  AsChina’s sports industry develops rapidly and nationals realize the importance of doing gym, stadiums withinChinaexpand quickly, no matter in quantity or in quality. During the past years, B&G has never stopped its contribution to the sports industry by building metal envelops supplying materials for large-scale constructions like airport terminals, high-speed stations, exhibition centers and so on. Let’s review the stadiums which were built by B&G.

1. Guangzhou Huadu New Stadium

Located in the southwest ofFengshen Avenue, Huadu District,Guangzhou, Huadu New Stadium, a twin-ball shaped construction used as a venue of basketball matches in Asian Games 2010, contains a main gymnasium, a training center and a parking area. The project covers 36,200 ㎡ and the whole investment reaches 286 million Yuan.

2.    XiningHaihuSportsCenterinQinghaiProvince

Located to the south ofHaihuWetlandPark, Xi’ning Haihu Sports Center, Xi’ning Haihu Sports Center contains a main stadium with 40,000 seats, a complex stadium with 7500 seats, a natatorium with 1500 seats and other subsidiary facilities. This project covers about 244,400 ㎡, with entire construction area of 188,000 ㎡ and total investment of 1.416 billion Yuan. The roofing which was built by B&G is made of standing seam roofing systems and 35mm honeycomb panels.

3.     Stadium ofShantouUniversity

New Stadium of Shantou University is wholly funded by Hongkong Li Ka Shing Foundation and designed by Manica, an well-known American architectural firm.  The project covers about 60,900 ㎡ with the construction area of 52,000 ㎡ and total investment of 560 million Yuan. In the new stadium, there is a natatorium in accordance with Olympic Games’ standard, Basketball Arenas and gymnasiums with the most excellent equipments withinAsia, a multi-functional exhibition and convention hall and a star hotel with 200 rooms.

4.    InnerMongolianZhungeerSportsCenter

Located in Dalu new district, Zhungeer, Inner Mongolia, the Zhungeer Sports Center covers a construction area of 37,000 ㎡. The stadium is an oval with length of 260 meters, width of 240 meters , and height of 54.30 meters.

5.    TaiYuanOlympic Center inShanxiProvince

TaiYuan Olympic Center covers up 824,500 ㎡ with construction area of 328,500 ㎡. Whole investment reaches 1.6 billion Yuan to build a main stadium with 60,000 seats, a gymnasium with 8000 seats, a natatorium with 3000 seats, a velodrome with 1500 seats and a complex hall. This project is located in the mid-south of JinYuan District inTaiYuanCity, and designed by CCDI- one of the architects ofNationalAquaticsCenter“Water Cube”. It is the training center of national bicycle, swimming, martial, weightlifting and trampoline teams.

6.    BaiyinSportsCenterinGansuProvince

Located in the west of Baiyin City, Gansu Province, Baiyin Sports Center covers an area of 133,200 ㎡ with the construction area of 40800 ㎡. It includes a gymnasium of 19,800 ㎡ ,a gymnasium of 16100 ㎡ and a tennis stadium of 4900 ㎡. The whole project investment reaches 298 million Yuan.
